On Getting Settled

Well, readers, Jen and I have been residents of northwest Arkansas for a month now. It seems to have gone by so quickly - with moving and starting a new way of life together. I am happy to report that things are becoming more and more settled - our routines and our new lives together. I thought I'd share some photos to commemorate the one month anniversary of our move for the post...



These are Jen's new snow boots - and they are super cute! They are made from recycled rubber, with a great sole and fleece lined. And, they were 25% off - I have been super envious of these during our great snow so far this year. She bought them at a cute little store on the Fayetteville square named Nordic Moods.



Clearly, Cosby is getting all settled in if he sleeps with his paws in the air! He's done surprisingly well with the move, thankfully!



And here is Jen in the midst of the 10 inches of snow we had here last week - she looks so cute in her coat! Yes, she is wearing the boots I mentioned above!



Thanks to Case Dighero, we found a lovely meat market here, family owned - Richard's Country Meat Market. These are some of the ingredients for Caldito, which I am excited about eating! (Sorry if the photo bothers you, vegetarian readers!)



And, finally, we really missed going to see the symphony in Fort Worth. Well, we recently discovered that 2011 will be the inaugural season for the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas! We are really excited to go to the opening concert - and we got great seats. Fun!

So, as you all can see, despite nature's best effort, we really are getting settled here.
