- 9:00-11:00 AM - As part of our consortial arrangement with the University of Arkansas, I serve on a few committees, one of which is the Innovative Review Committee. I really love being involved with the University and being able to gain knowledge of a large academic library by being integrally involved in their work. They are great people, and I always feel as though I learn so much from them.
- 11:00 AM-12:00 PM - Lunch with my wife! Yay!
- 12:00-12:30 PM - Return to the office.
- 12:30-1:00 PM - When I was at my meeting, a staff member sent me some questions about an item that was displaying some odd information in the catalog. I had to go into our ILS and look at the record to see what was going on with it. It was just on order - but remember that new acquisitions process? Yeah, that was the reason for the odd display. I talked to her, and set up a notify message for when it's cataloged so she can be the first to check it out!
- 1:00-2:30 PM - Assist our library volunteers with shelving and other questions they have.
- 2:30-4:00 PM - A group of library managers from the Fayetteville Public Library came for a library tour. The library director and I showed them around. It was also a great opportunity to talk to some of my colleagues there about the presentation I am working on for them in March.
- 4:00-5:00 PM - Return emails and voicemails.
I felt as though I got a lot accomplished, and it's Friday tomorrow!
