Allison V. Smith at the Barry Whistler Gallery

Friends,

I want to tell you that Jen and I are both thrilled to be attending Allison V. Smith's opening of new photographs from Maine, titled Maine. I'd usually say something pithy about the title, but I think it's great.





As you might know, we have one of Allison's prints in our home, so I can't really give you a stronger recommendation about her work. She's phenomenal, and a very kind soul as well. (Her husband is equally awesome!) Anyhow, if you are in the Fort Worth-Dallas area (see how I switched that?) I want to strongly encourage you to drop into the Barry Whistler Gallery this Saturday, October 16th from 6-8PM for the opening. We got a tiny preview earlier from Barry, and the work is stunning. (Look for the one of the library - you know I fell in love with it!) We'd love to see you there and share the work of one of (what we think is) just about the best photographer working now. Oh, and if you haven't visited them yet, Allison has a great website and writes a mean blog. Check them out!
